Hurricane Harvey

1:40:00 AM

Hi my loves.
Today I want to kind of talk about something that happened in the state I live and get a couple of you if not all to help out. I am not being sponsored nor being paid in any kind of way to say anything about it, but since this did happen in my hometown I wanted to inform others of what they can do to help.
If you have a TV or any kind of social media you probably have heard the devastation hurricane Harvey has left. Even though Houston simply experienced it as a tropical storm a lot of homes where damages and the flooding is persistent. It's heartbreaking to see the news and all the people who lost everything due to the amount of rain we received the past couple of days. Some people lost their lives as they were trying to evacuate or get to loved ones.

My family and I know how blessed we are to have had no damages in our home. Even though our neighborhood did accumulate waters and it did flood no major damages where seen when we went out to see how our community was doing. Sitting on the couch with my whole family watching people being rescued is something that affects a whole community. There was an elderly woman walking high waters carrying nothing but her dog in her hands. A single mom with two little kids. A man who took the doors out of hid fridge to use it as a boat for his dogs.

If you are from another city or state who wasn't affected or you are at home unable to move due to the flooding out in the streets, there is still a way you can help, by donating to the Red Cross . It doesn't have to be a huge amount. I already did my donation and any amount counts to help make a difference. Yesterday we got our first blue sky after this storm and believe me it lifted hope in all the affected areas. Thank you and I hope you decide to make a difference now that you have been given the opportunity.
This is not only for Houston, but for all of South Texas.
