The Last Time We Say Goodbye
By: Cynthia Hand

This book has been my favorite book so far, hands-down!

I love the past two books, but this book had some kind of suspense that made me not want to stop reading.

The story is mainly about a girl named Lexie, who's brother, Ty, commits suicide. Lexie has this heavy guilt about her brother's death, because she has a text from Ty she never responded to, that maybe could have saved his life. The story is told from her point of view, so you are/will be putting yourself in her shoes. The book transitions from chapters to diary entries. On the chapters itself you get to view her life after her brother's passing and in the diary entries you get to read memories and feelings that go way deeper to when Ty was in her life.

I can't explain the heartache it brought me to read this book, because things like this happen in real life. It's a book where she explains a love story within a tragedy. She learns how to overcome her brother's passing, that moving on does not mean forgetting. Even if people pass away, the living might still need some kind of closing to move on. This book brought tears to my eyes, I could literally feel the pain, sadness and anger within the words.

Above all the book's main point of view is that your loved ones will always be with you, whether is in person, in your heart or in memory.
