I Don't Want to Be Crazy
By: Samantha Schutz

A way to describe this book is how much of an eye-opener it is to anxiety disorder.

This author took her own story and made it into a book.

Samantha talks about her leaving to college, excited to finally be out and free from her parents house. A couple weeks into college she begins to feel she has no control over her body and slowly her new life with anxiety disorder begins. This book is more of a journal rather than a story being told. She talks about how she felt, where she was, her friends, boys she hooked up with, relationships, how she dealt with anxiety, medicine she took, her talks with her therapists, her symptoms, places she went and things she disliked. I feel like this book is powerful because is being told by the point of view of the author, who suffers anxiety disorder. It gives clarity to those who know nothing about anxiety disorder or know someone with anxiety disorder.

Highly recommended this book for those curious in learning on anxiety disorders or simply like reading books who are more journals type that a novel. I read the summary that's on the back of the cover page of the book and I was HOOKED.

Samantha did an amazing job at telling her story.
