It is July 29, which means...
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY! 

1. In 5th grade, I would fake play the recorder in choir class and concerts, because I never actually learned how to play it.
2. My grandpa use to call me: gotita de amor, which means teardrop of love.
3.  I have watched Friends over 7 times from start to finish.
4. When I am in any kind of pain I laugh cry.
5. I am lactose-sensitive.
6. I had braces for two years.
7. When I was younger, my mom use to take my sister and I to the library and I would always grab the bin full of Archie Comics, take it to my little corner and just read them over and over again.
8. I am that person who needs to have music on in order to drive.
9. I am a sucker for old pictures and old home videos.
10. I talk to myself all the time.
11. I make list for EVERYTHING.
12. I drive a yellow truck.
13. I sing randomly and it bugs my family. Haha!
14. I been best friends with my best friend for over 9 years, almost 10!
15. I sleep a-lot.
16. I have a ring that my mom gave me in 11th grade and I consider it my good luck charm.
17. I got stung by a bee for the first time two weeks ago. It hurt like a... you know.
18. I own a bunch of journals, yet I can never have enough.
19. Blue is my favorite color. Pasta is my favorite food. Lilo and Stitch is my favorite movie.
20. I love looking/photographing the sky.
21. Today I turn 21 and I am ready for some cake.

Hi. 

I wanted to talk about my major since it is something I have been asked about.

I am leaning towards a English Major.
I love writing, enjoy reading and English has always been my favorite subject.
But don't let this fool you. I was very uncertain on what I wanted to do, where I was headed and who I was. At times, I'm still uncertain. I still have doubts. I still question my moves no matter how confident I seem when I take them. Yet, I have come to realize life is uncertain, you can focus your whole life on a certain path only to be swept off as soon as you are about to reach your goal.

If I could give any advice is: Do not fear the Unknown.

The Unknown tends to be magical, exciting and new. Something we all fear.
I know I want a English Major.
I know there is plenty of jobs out there for me.
I know that when I was younger I wanted to be a teacher.

Yet I don't know where life will be taking me in a month, a year even five years. Maybe I end up becoming a digital copywriter and forget to be a teacher. Maybe I end up being a flight attendant. Maybe I decided to be a teacher as soon as I graduate. Maybe my blog hits off and I get to do this forever. I don't know what is going to happen and that is something that tend to be exciting.

All my life I tried to make no mistakes. Try to keep it all together. Stay in my own lane, within my comfort zone. I have a list of jobs I want to experience written down in my journal, yet I would get so scared to try them out I made excuses why it would be best not to apply.

When I sat down and told my parents I wanted to pursue writing because that is what I love.
I was so scared. My hands were sweating, I didn't want my heroes to tell me it was stupid, because I mean anyone can write, how was I going to make a living out of it, what even was a writing career, but instead they supported me. 100 PERCENT.

They told me to do what I love. To finish a career. Get my diploma. Go after all the jobs I want to pursue. To keep my options open. That I was so young I could do anything.

I am not going to lie. I lay my future out. I plan it. I write it down and mold it to my liking. Yet, I still have doubts. But that is a human thought, we have doubts because we don't know if we are good enough for our own dreams, because they seem big. But want some advice there is no such thing as a dream that is too big. The bigger you dream, the better. Crave to want more. Crave to be happy. Forget how much money you will receive. Think of the experience you will gain.

I want to do so much.

I feel like humans are made to do different things.
No person was made to do one thing their whole life, that becomes a routine and routine turns into dullness. If you strongly believe you were made to be just one thing your whole life, you need to explore who you are a little bit more.

Welcome to another story-time! 

This is all about lip locking with another human. 

JUICY. 

I want to talk about my first kiss, because your first kiss is something you remember forever. No matter if it was weird, cringey, gross, awkward, sweet, nice... (etc.) you remember it and you will talk about it because it was your first kiss, it was innocent and new.

SO

It all began with this boy whom I thought was cute. He asked me out on the fourth of July at a wedding and I said yes.

(Oh, I was twelve going to thirteen and he had just turned fifteen. Like he literally turned fifteen two days before he asked me out. Ok, back to the story.)

I will admit I was kind of young and in my defense I just wanted to hold hands with this boy, my intentions where never to kiss him. I remember it was the next day after he asked me out and we all went to the beach. BTW during this whole time I was with my older cousin and sister. We were sitting in the backseat together and he was holding my hand and then he would get like really close to my face and I would look away haha! because I DID NOT want to kiss him.
SO he kissed my cheek A LOT.

After the beach, we went to my boy cousin's house and watched a movie. Then he went his way and my girl cousin, sister and I went to my cousin's house and got ready for a get together they were having at her friends house. He was going to be there and all I remember was that I was really tired. I had not had enough sleep and I was literally falling asleep everywhere!!

We got ready and went and I just remember sitting on the couch with him holding my hand.
After like two hours we decided to leave so we walked outside and GIRL! I went for the hug and he went for the kiss...


YUP and if that wasn't awkward enough...
he kissed me in-front of his four boy cousins...
and if I remember correctly one of them actually cheered...

The kiss it self was very innocent. I mean I stood there in tippy toes with my puckered lips.
I don't remember how it long it lasted it just felt long, but after I just remembered feeling expose and embarrassed because I mean he kissed me by surprise, in-front of people and it was my first kiss so I remember we hugged goodbye and he opened the car door for me, which was sweet.
He was a extremely sweet and kind boy, but I didn't want him to be my first kiss.

Hi everybody!!!

 I hope you all had a good 4th of July holiday. 

I had a great one and I want to share it with you.

 SO on July 3rd my father decided to drive up to Austin and surprise my sister and brother in law. We arrived and stayed at her house then went to see Baby Driver, which was amazing. I hope one day I can drive like that, just kidding, stay safe out there. 

But on the 4th of July we did something extremely new... we hiked. 

My sister and brother in law had done it before, but we hadn't so that was an interesting experience.

This is Baby, our dog, she's 12 years old and she was not doing so great on the hike. We did bring water for her, but she was just going super slow to the point that Bj had to carry her.

The hike was worth it.

I love my 4th of July. It was both fun and tiring. My muscles ached the next day. Yet, it was all worth it at the end. Looking forward to next year's fourth!!
