Insecurities
10:43:00 PMInsecurity: (noun) uncertainty or anxiety about oneself; lack of confidence
Insecurities. We pick them out when we are standing in-front of the mirror. You start to pick out the things you hate, the things you feel make you "ugly", the things you think other people notice when they see you. But guess what? They don't.
People are so worry about their own insecurities, they see others as "perfect" or "goals". Society has mold what a "perfect body" should look like, but there isn't such thing. It's all fake. A big illusion. The perfect body doesn't exist, there isn't a body out in the world without stretch marks, without scars, without extra-skin, without acne. When you ask people what there biggest insecurity is they target a place in their body that they try to hide the most.
For example, if their insecurity involves their acne, they use concealer. If it's their legs, they wear nothing but jeans, long dresses and long skirts. If it's their tummy they wear waist trainers.
I'm not saying is wrong to hide your insecurities because we are all humans, we aren't perfect and we all have them. Your insecurities will always be there. Even if you do achieve that flat tummy, you are always going to think it's not flat enough.
The thing is that we are always going to have the thoughts of our insecurities, so what to do if we don't want to show our arms but there's a beautiful sleeveless dress in your closet?
YOU EMBRACE THEM.
Embrace the part of your body you dislike the most. Nobody really pays attention to the things you pay attention to when it comes to your insecurities. Look in the mirror again and pick out your insecurities and give yourself a hug. Never forget to love yourself, all your flaws and all the insecurities, because maybe one day your biggest insecurity may be your partners favorite thing about you.
