"The greatest risk is not taking one."
Hi!
I am back with the book reviews. Your girl bought and read Everything, Everything before my May 19th deadline, BUT I didn't get to watch the film till last week June 9th.
I liked the movie, but the book was better.
I mean the books are always better, but the movie gets a solid 9 out of 10.
On to the book review!
Okay, this book is about this girl name Madeline who has SCID, which basically means she can't go outside or touch anything that hasn't been purified from germs, because she can die.
Then Olly moves in next door and they start flirting and they start liking each other and Carla (Maddie's nurse) helps them so they can meet and you are basically shipping them through the whole book because they go to Hawaii like goals.
Wait!! How do they go to Hawaii, if she's sick?
Well, she takes the risk to live one perfect day.
Then she gets sick and she goes back home and ignores Olly and I can't say more because I would be spoiling it. Overall, it is a cute teen love story. I enjoyed how there is little illustrations throughout the book, a bit different than the other books I have read. I had a bit of mixed feelings when it comes to the plot twist, kind of happy, kind of upset, but (!!) I do recommend reading it, if you like romantic novels.
Be like Maddie, do something new and risky. It doesn't have to be anything big like flying to a different place, but simply driving around your city or trying something for the very first time. Overcoming a fear. Anything will do, just try something new!
