DIY: Lilo's Shirt/Dress

By the title of this post you already know what this is about.

If you are new to this little world I have created, you might not know that Lilo & Stitch is my favorite Disney movie. If you have been here for a while you probably already knew...

Anyway, I always wanted something similar to Lilo's wardrobe, especially her signature red dress with the white leaves (gif above). I wanted to buy it, but I couldn't find it anywhere so I DIY it.

In case you want to make your own or just read this fun (yet long) DIY keep on reading!

What you will need:

Red Dress/T-Shirt

White Acrylic Paint and Paintbrush

Leaf Stencil

A board to put in the middle of the shirt, so the paint doesn't go through the other side.

Cut the stencil out so you are left with the outline of the leaf.

Place it where you want and start painting.

I recommend you to start painting the edges and the middle piece.

After you are done you can remove the stencil and simply color the leaf in.

This process takes a while...

I am not lying but 3 leaves took me like 1 hour and 1/2!

Once you are finish, hang it up to dry.

Once the paint dries it might be hard, but once you wash it will go away and the color might fade a tad, but it still be looking cute!

I love my shirt! I was procrastinating on doing this DIY, but what really pushed me was my going to Disney World. When I wore this shirt I got compliments and someone actually called me LILO!

Best day ever.

How to Make a Homeade Acai Bowl

Hiiiiii there! Welcome to my blog!

SO, I recently bought the acai frozen smoothie packages to do my own acai bowls at home, because sometimes I be craving an acai bowl and either
A. I don't have money
B. I crave them too often
OR
C. I am too lazy to drive for one at times.

BUT FIRST I want to give a big shout-out to Juice Girl, Nourish and Tout Suite, because that is where I would buy my acai bowls. They usually range around $9 to $11 dollars, but they are the bomb-dot-com! AND not just because I can make my own acai bowls means I am going to completely forget about these locations, because they are still amazing at doing these delicious treats.

Now let me teach you how I do my homemade acai bowl.

First, gather all your ingredientes!

One acai package. (I buy mine from Sprouts, 4-packages for $8)
Any liquid of your choosing. (I use Almond Milk)
Frozen Mixed Berries. (Raspberries, Strawberries, Blueberries)
One Banana.

Now, run your acai package under water so it won't be so hard to blend.

Once you can break it into three parts put those in the blender along with 1/4 cup of the liquid you wish, the banana and a handful of the mixed berries. Then blend it all together.

Once that is D-O-N-E, pour it into a bowl, cup or whatever container you wanna and add the toppings.

My toppings are usually granola, strawberries, banana and honey.

Get creative and decorate your acai bowl with whatever toppings you want!

By the way one acai package can make two acai bowls, so don't be greedy and share.

Or be greedy and eat it all by yourself, I mean it's good for your digestive system and healthy.

DIY: Customize Anything

This is kind of a Part Two to my "DIY: Customize Your Table" blog post.

Customizing is pretty much turning something into something new or modify it to make it your own.

The process on how I customize my things is fairly easy so I wanted to show you in case one day you get bored and decide you want to customize something.

First, you will need to look for pictures you like. You can google them, cut them out magazines or use your own personal pictures.

(In this case, I decided to find them in WeHeartIt and print them out.)

Once have your pictures, cut them out in any shape and form you would like.

After that you can rearrange them any way you think fits on the object you are customizing and once you are done, whip out a paint brush and your mod podge!

First apply a thin layer of mod podge on the object, then begin laying the pictures down.

It's okay for the background to look all gluey and messy, in case you didn't know mod podge dries clear.

After let the pictures sit on the mod podge for about five minutes so they can get nice and sticky. Then carefully apply a coat of mod podge over all the pictures and let it dry.
