I had the opportunity to go to Fiesta de la Flor this past weekend.
Fiesta de La Flor is a festival that celebrates the legacy and life of Selena Quintanilla.
I fell in love with Corpus back in 2016 and going again and being able to do something that has been written in my bucket list for over two years got me all kinds of excited.
The festival was gorgeous. People were dressed like her and it was right next to the water! I got to see Becky G perform. Although, we were tired since we drove out that morning, I felt so lucky for being there. I was able to witness so much love because of one person.
There was a lot of food trucks with different kind of foods. I went with the original chicken hamburger, because it can never disappoint.
The following day I got to visit her museum for the 3rd time and like the 1st I was fascinated by pictures and items that were out for display.
Afterwards, we got to eat at the two-story Whataburger in Shoreline Blvd.
I felt so happy.
I remember my older sister teaching me how to dance like her. How we use to fight to see who got to sing the Selena part in the song "Donde Quieras Que Estes". My older sister introduced and named me after the person who is now one of my idols. Selena was beautiful and an amazing singer/dance. Yet, the reason I look up to her is because she was kind and humble.

I try not to take these small trips for granted, because I do feel grateful that I have the opportunity to go places. Corpus is a city that I love, because I feel so much peace and happiness to be near the water. I love it so much.
